Why families choose us

The things we got right because we heard the same frustrations repeatedly

Finding a qualified Quran teacher is genuinely difficult when you live far from a masjid. These are the answers.

  • Always one-to-oneYour tutor hears every letter and corrects it in the moment. That is the only way pronunciation actually improves.
  • Male and female tutorsSisters with female tutors, brothers with male tutors, as standard. You never have to ask.
  • Built around your time zoneEarly mornings before school, evenings after work, weekends. Your household sets the schedule.
  • Certified, verified tutorsEvery tutor holds an Ijazah, Hafiz certification or a degree from a recognised institution.
  • Monthly progress reportsA written summary of what was covered and what needs work, so you are never guessing.
  • No lock-in contractsPay monthly and stop whenever you need to. We would rather earn the next month than trap you in it.

Our tutors

Tutors you can trust with your children

We are selective about who teaches for us, because a tutor is the whole experience. You meet yours in the free trial before any commitment, and if the fit is not right, we change it.

How we select and match tutors →
  • Formally qualified

Every tutor holds an Ijazah, Hafiz certification or a degree in Islamic studies. We verify certificates before anyone teaches.

  • Male and female tutors

Sisters are taught by female tutors and brothers by male tutors as standard. Younger children can be taught by either.

  • Safeguarding trained

Tutors who teach children complete safeguarding training, and parents are welcome to sit in on any class.

  • Fluent in English

All tutors teach comfortably in English, with Arabic and Urdu also available. Nobody is left lost in a class.

Testimonials

What families tell us

I signed up for myself, not my kids. After twenty years of reading the Quran without understanding a word, I wanted to know what I was reciting. My tutor builds every lesson around verses I already know, so it never feels like a grammar class.
Fatima S.Toronto, Canada · Arabic Language
Our son has ADHD and most online classes lost him in ten minutes. His tutor noticed within the first week, shortened the sessions, and added short recitation games. He has now completed his Qaida and started the Quran, which I did not think was possible this year.
Bilal and Sana K.Melbourne, Australia · Noorani Qaida
I converted two years ago and had no idea where to begin. I never felt judged for not knowing the basics. My tutor explained everything from the alphabet up, and I can now recite Surah Al-Fatihah in my prayers with confidence.
Daniel M.Leeds, UK · New Muslims
My mother is 68 and was nervous about using a computer, let alone learning online. The academy set her up over the phone, paired her with a female tutor who speaks Urdu, and now she looks forward to her three classes a week more than anything else.
Hina A.Jeddah, Saudi Arabia · Quran Reading & Tajweed
We have three children at three different levels and were juggling tutors across two time zones. Having all of them on one schedule, with a single coordinator who actually replies, has simplified our evenings more than I can describe.

FAQ

Questions families ask

Is the trial class really free?

Yes. You meet a tutor, sit through a real class, and decide afterwards. We do not ask for card details to book it, and there is nothing to cancel if you choose not to continue.

Can my daughter be taught by a female tutor?

Yes, and this is the norm rather than a special request. We match sisters with female tutors and brothers with male tutors by default. Read more about how we select and match tutors.

What if the class times do not fit our schedule?

Our tutors teach across every time zone, including early mornings before school and late evenings after work. Tell us the times that work for your household and we will match you with a tutor who is available then.

What do we need to join a class?

A device with a camera and microphone, a reasonable internet connection, and a quiet space. Laptops and tablets work best for children. We send a link before each class, so there is no software to buy.

My child has never learned any Arabic. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most of our students start with no Arabic whatsoever. The Noorani Qaida course begins at the very first letter and assumes nothing.
