This policy explains what personal information The Quran Tutors ("we", "us") collects when you use this website or our tutoring services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.

What we collect

When you submit a form on this site, we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the student's age group, course interest, tutor preference, availability, and any message you write. We use this solely to arrange your trial class or answer your enquiry.

When you become a student, we additionally hold your class schedule, progress notes written by your tutor, and billing records.

Automatically, our hosting provider and content delivery network log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to identify you.

We do not use advertising trackers. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your chosen currency on the pricing page, which stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Children

Many of our students are children. We collect information about a child only from their parent or guardian, and we treat it with particular care. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent's involvement. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Classes take place on standard video platforms. We do not record classes without the parent's express agreement.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a trial class
• To match you with a suitable tutor and schedule classes
• To provide progress reports and communicate about your classes
• To take payment and keep the records we are legally required to keep
• To keep the website secure

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services needed to provide our service:

• Your tutor receives the student's first name, age, level and class schedule. Tutors do not receive your payment details.
• Our hosting provider (Hostinger) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) process technical data to serve this website.
• Messaging and email providers used to communicate with you, such as WhatsApp and our email host.
• Payment processors, when you pay. We never see or store your full card details.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Where your information is held

This website is hosted in the United States. Our tutors are based in several countries. If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, this means your information is transferred outside your region. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is held.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted within 12 months. Student records are kept for the duration of enrolment and for a limited period afterwards in case you return. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Residents of the UK and EEA have these rights under data protection law; California residents have similar rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of them, email info@thequrantutors.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS, stores no personal data on its own server, and runs no third-party scripts. Information you send us by form is delivered to our email and handled by a small team.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for enrolled families, let you know directly.
