About us

Built for families far from a masjid

Young students reading from the Quran

If you live in a Muslim-majority country, finding someone to teach your child the Quran is straightforward. There is a masjid nearby, a madrasah, an uncle who is a Hafiz. It is part of the fabric of daily life.

If you live in Ohio, or Manchester, or a small town in Sweden, it is not. The nearest weekend school may be an hour away. The one teacher in your community may have a waiting list, or may not be the right fit for your daughter. Many parents end up teaching themselves, and many more put it off for another year, and then another.

The Quran Tutors exists to close that gap. We bring a qualified, vetted tutor into your home over video, one-to-one, at a time that fits around school and work. The teaching is traditional. The delivery is built for how families in the West actually live.

Who teaches

Every tutor holds formal Islamic qualifications, verified before they teach for us. Just as importantly, they are experienced with students growing up outside Muslim-majority countries: children with no Arabic at home, adults starting late, reverts building from nothing. We maintain male and female tutors so that families never have to ask for gender matching.

How we work

Every class is one-to-one and live. There are no recordings to watch and no group sessions where a shy child can hide. Your tutor hears every letter and corrects it in the moment, because that is the only way pronunciation actually improves.

You keep the same tutor and the same weekly slot. You receive a written progress report every month. You pay monthly and can stop whenever you need to. And before any of that, you get a full free trial class to decide whether the fit is right.

What we hold ourselves to

Honesty over hype

We tell you what a course involves and how long it realistically takes. If a student is not progressing, we say so early rather than let it drift.

The student sets the pace

A syllabus is a guide, not a deadline. A seven-year-old and a working adult should not be pushed through the same material at the same speed.

Respect for the family

Parents are welcome in any class. Gender matching is standard, not a special request. Your time zone is our schedule.

Mainstream, transparent scholarship

We teach within established Sunni scholarship and are open about where scholars differ, rather than presenting one view as the only one.
